Week Nine 2017 – Energy Ball

When we are not taking pictures of people or event, we chase after the sun as it goes down.

We prearrange a location that we will be doing this and head in slightly earlier as below:

Amazing terrain with awesome lighting.

As time goes by we experience colour change of the sky.

Then we get full colour change and work our creativity.

Foreground and background composition.

Week Four 2017 – Shadows

A shadow is a dark area where light from a light source is blocked by an opaque object. It occupies all of the three-dimensional volume behind an object with light in front of it. The cross section of a shadow is a two-dimensional silhouette, or a reverse projection of the object blocking the light.

We have been working on a few learning techniques in learning photography.

This week our focus was on shadows.

Week Three 2017 – Double Exposure

In photography and cinematography, a multiple exposure is the superimposition of two or more exposures to create a single image, and double exposure has a corresponding meaning in respect of two images. The exposure values may or may not be identical to each other.

This is mostly done via software. We used our own sunset pictures and previous jobs to create the below.

Week Two 2017 – Black and White

This week we are doing an experiment.

Most of the time we go shooting nature we know nothing of the place just an idea of what we would like our images to look like therefore not following any rule or breaking them all.

So we decide to go by the books.

First this is hitting google and you get tips like;

  1. shoot in raw (we do this always)
  2. look for contrast, pattens…
  3. pay attention to shadows lines shapes…

We took on the challenge with only one lens in hand, this is what we made…enjoy

WEEK 43 – Facial Expressions

Micro expressions are very brief facial expressions, lasting only a fraction of a second. They occur when a person either deliberately or unconsciously conceals a feeling. Microexpressions express the seven[dubious – discuss] universal emotions: disgust, anger, fear, sadness, happiness, contempt, and surprise. Nevertheless, in the 1990s, Paul Ekman expanded his list of emotions, including a range of positive and negative emotions not all of which are encoded in facial muscles. These emotions are amusement, contempt, embarrassment, anxiety, guilt, pride, relief, contentment, pleasure, and shame. They are very brief in duration, lasting only 1/25 to 1/15 of a second.

We were working with kids, are the below micro expressions or just expressions?
