Landscape – Waterfalls

A waterfall is an area where water flows over a vertical drop or a series of steep drops in the course of a stream or river. Waterfalls also occur where meltwater drops over the edge of a tabular iceberg or ice shelf. Wikipedia

We love nature and these wonderful places enjoy with us via the images.

From muranga county to kirinyaga.

Love Story

We were working on a  themed shoot, love story and below is how we begun.

Pushing our creativity to a new level.

Lens flare refers to a phenomenon wherein light is scattered or flared in a lens system, often in response to a bright light, producing a sometimes undesirable artifact within the image.

We decided to work with lens flare for it gives a uniqueness to images.

Then we got distracted by nature and angle of sun.

Nature Photography

Our favourite type of photography.

See how we did at this waterfall:

It was very bright.

Increase the aperture, reduce the shutter speed and get slow motion of water.

Bokeh in Photography

In photography, bokeh is the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by a lens. Bokeh has been defined as “the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light”. via wikipedia

Here are some beginner shots showing basic lens blur.

Remember, bokeh is rendered by the lens, not the camera. Different lenses render bokeh differently due to unique optical designs. Generally, portrait and telephoto lenses with large maximum apertures yield more pleasant-looking bokeh than cheaper consumer zoom lenses.

Then we got distracted by colour in nature.

Week Two 2019 – Composition: Rule of Thirds Motion

We are in week two 2019, time sure is flying.

Rule of thirds – The guideline proposes that an image should be imagined as divided into nine equal parts by two equally spaced horizontal lines and two equally spaced vertical lines, and that important compositional elements should be placed along these lines or their intersections.Proponents of the technique claim that aligning a subject with these points creates more tension, energy and interest in the composition than simply centering the subject. Adding to this motion has to be shown in the composition.See how we did.
